We are very conscious of our impact on the environment and are constantly striving to find new ways to improve our production processes.

We work with a Canadian company who uses a digital printing process to manufacture our textiles. They use water soluble inks that results in little to no waste. When using dyeing techniques or hand printing fabric, Kat ensures the use of natural inks and dyes that are also water soluble and septic safe.

All of our products (apart from our enamel pins) are made locally, by hand, in our studio in Vancouver. We try really hard to reduce the amount of waste from creating each product so put a lot of thought into each items construction.

We try to use exclusively organic fabric, either 100% linen, 100% cotton or a cotton/linen blend - all of which only get softer and more beautiful with use.

All of KAIKO's swing tags and other marketing materials are printed on 100% recycled paper.

These kinds of initiatives are of the utmost importance to us and we try to do better every day.
